Messy Church
Messy Church at WBBC has just turned 3
When?
We meet on the first Thursday of every month (except August). Doors open at 3:30pm and we are finished by 5:45pm
Who can come?
Anyone can come 0 to 99+ but Messy activities are aimed at primary aged children and their families.
What will I do?
Each session is broken up into three sections.
- We open our doors at 3:30pm just after school pick up. When you arrive there’s time for a cuppa and a chat while the children play some games and relax after a day at school and gives our Messy Church crew time to arrive.
- Just after 4pm we move into the big hall for story time, and crafts. All our activities help us remember our Bible story or thought for the day. There are usually 5 or 6 different ones ranging from sitting quietly writing or drawing to icing cakes to making full size shepherds (see pics). We may sing, we may have some prayer activities too. Everything is accessible to all ages with help and encouragement from the adults around. There are usually a few toys out too for our younger children.
- At 5:10 ish we finish off back where we started for tea. Tea is fairly simple fare and there is usually enough to feed everyone.
How much does it cost?
We don’t charge for you to come to Messy Church but we do ask for a small donation towards the food but only if you are able.
